Daily Blog: 10-30-09

Daily Blog: 10-30-09

Great news from the field! I had a meeting with the publisher of the Times News Media and I got the job of editor for the Ocean County edition! I will be working closely with the company over the next few weeks to build up the website and a response from the first few areas to cover in Ocean County. Towns like: Point Pleasant, Seaside Heights and the Ocean Bay Area will be the first to be covered. Other towns like Brick and Toms River will be covered over the next few weeks. Any organizations or groups in these areas are encouraged to contact me (jrwarnet@yahoo.com) if you have any community news or events you would like covered!
The latest edition of the monthly online newspaper features the Columbus Day Parade coverage and other news from around Ocean County. Please log on to www.oceancountytimesnews.com for updated information about your hometown!
In other news, I will be recording a version of my latest Sea Fiction article, that is to be published in Long Island Boating World, later this week. The audio voice recording will feature a reading of the newest story titled: Revenge of the Lost Pole. Anyone interested in saltwater fishing in Island Beach would find it appealing. A podcast version of the reading will be available shortly!
As for my fishing reports for Connecticut and New Jersey, the last reports of the season will be published on Saturday on the Fishing Line’s website. (www.thefishingline.com) The reports will be picked up again in the spring around the beginning of April.
If you are interested in seeing me “in action”, I will be on assignments for the upcoming week. On Saturday, October 31st, I will be on hand to cover the Toms River Halloween Parade in downtown Toms River. The photo and video shoot will be set for the entire parade so if you see me there, come on over for a quick interview! On Tuesday, November 3rd, I will be on assignment in Summit, NJ for the Election Day coverage, beginning at around 5:00 pm. Interviews with the winning candidate for the election will go on late into the night.
If you have any questions or comments for me, please email me at jrwarnet@yahoo.com.

Wedding Blog for 10-16-09

The marriage between Michelle Burnette and Bill Buhler took place on October 16th, 2009. To mark the occasion, Da Vinci, The Art of Photography, was on assignment to document the entire wedding. As always, Jesse Gonzales arrived at the Bride’s House in the morning to take the Bridal Pictures before the ceremony. Jesse was on hand throughout the entire ceremony and reception, which both took place at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge.
Michelle looked stunning in her strapless dress and took a great deal of photos with her family and friends before the wedding. Several photos were taken with her mother and father and also with her Maid of Honor, Elise; who is also the sister of the bride. The Bride’s Maids all dressed in elegant Navy Blue and White with the color scheme continuing onto the tables at the reception. With the ceremony time set for 6:00 pm, the two were married in front of friends and family under The Dome at the Grand Marquis.
After the ceremony, the room was set up for the reception with all the guests retreating for cocktail hour. Da Vinci Photography continued its coverage of the event by taking photos of the family, friends and guests all before the first toast was made after 7:00 pm. The first thing to notice when entering the reception room was a special cake made for Bill and Michelle’s special day. It features a four-tiered cake surrounded by green, mint green and white flowers on brown branches with a sports themed topper. The Groom is on ice hockey skates while the Bride appears to be giving him the thumbs up!
The entertainment for the evening was supplied by JMC Entertainment and featured classic and contemporary music throughout the evening. DJ Jason Farella (JMC_DJ@juno.com) was at the board for the night and played several special requests as the night progressed. Da Vinci was again on hand for special slow dance photos throughout the night and the Best Man Toast, given by the groom’s brother, Mike. The toast was a very emotional toast with many of the guests sharing a few tears with the two brothers. Mike Buhler made reference to Bill being independent and how Bill always wanted to support his brother, Mike. “He stands by people always, with no questions asked,” said Mike. Mike also made reference to how Bill was a very “funny” person evening though he wasn’t a funny individual. A special story was also stated about a certain television incident between the two brothers made for a wild night when they were younger.
Mike also went on to talk about their trips to Montreal and how they were “legendary.“ The two have also been to two of the three Devils Stanley Cup wins, which also goes along with the Hockey Themed cake and Bridal Entrance. Mike also went into detail about how Michelle was “the sister he always wanted.” Finally, Mike spoke about the loss of their dad, and how he was severely missed on there very special day.
At about 8:00 pm the first course was served, followed by the main course about a half hour later. Da Vinci Photography worked through the dinner and displayed a slideshow of the images already taken at 8:45 pm. These images are of photos of things like: the Bridal setup, the ride to the ceremony and various other images. Every wedding includes a slideshow during the night and always has a large gathering near the DJ booth.
By the end of the night, the guests had danced to many classic songs and enjoy such favorites like The Electric Slide. Around 10:00 pm, the cake cutting took place and both bride and groom behaved themselves! No cake on the face, as people would say. The dancing and photographs continued until 11:30 pm, when the guests and the happy couple ended their special night.

October 24 - 26 th, 2009

What a crazy weekend! Was able to get my fishing reports done (www.thefishingline.com) and edit an upcoming for Long Island Boating World (www.liboatingworld.com). All I need to do now is podcast the article and upload it to the web. Be sure to check out the audio reading of my fiction work in an upcoming blog.

As for the website, its another weekend without a website up yet. If anyone knows HTML format, or how to set up a website, please kindly give me a few pointers?

Also, be sure to send me a message on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, or this blog spot! Just look for J. R. Warnet (jrwarnet@yahoo.com) and say hi!

Up early today and finished posting the fishing reports for the week. They are posted at the Fishing Line, at the website here: www.thefishingline.com. Not much to report on the novel today. Just seem like taking it easy for the first part of the day. I will be updating my other sites for most of today and trying to download a photo program for my PC. The wedding blog from last weeks wedding should be up in a day or so, as well.

Be sure to check out my website in a few days for the official launch!

First Daily Blog!!!

Wow. Just got done writing my fishing reports for the week and should have them posted by morning time. Check them out at www.thefishingline.com In other worldly news, I have been working with a new publication and it seems to be going very smooth. I will be reporting on community news with them and should be taking photos as well. The official launch was this week so check them out too it you live in Ocean County. www.oceancountytimesnews.com

In other ventures, I've decided to work on my novel, for the first time in almost a year. I just got a new netbook with Office so I'll be checking in on that whenever I get a free chance. Its a horror novel; well it is shaping up to be that way! Hopefully I can make some progress with it this weekend. Its kind of a new way to look at the world, so think Stephen King meets Ansel Adams... That's the only spoiler so make it last.

Welcome to the world of Nevermore...
